Cindy Calhoun teaches P.E. for grades K-5 at RYE.
In grades K-2, the goal is to improve their knowledge of their movement, physical activity, health, and social development based on the TEKS. She works to help them develop strength, flexibility, and endurance.
3-5 students will improve their knowledge of their movement, physical activity, health, and social development. Ty will apply skills learned in the four core content areas to physical education assignments. By the end of the year, each child is expected to achieve a "Healthy Zone" or higher ranking on the Fitnessgram test.
